Full scholarship in vocational training for two graduates of ESG’s Young Leaders Program!
After the successful completion of the first year of the Young Leaders Program, designed and implemented by El Sistema Greece, the opportunities continue for our future leaders as two graduates of the program will have the opportunity to attend, with full scholarship, the seminar “Music and Education, the multiple functions of music and other arts in the education and training of children from infancy to adolescence” organized by the Open Education Foundation (ΑΙΕ).
The 8-month online vocational training, which starts on October 25, is aimed at musicians, educators and professionals in the field of art, consists of 12 sections and has a total duration of 150 hours. This year, with the kind sponsorship of AIE, two Young Leaders Program graduates will be among the participants, having the opportunity to enrich their knowledge and acquire new skills that will help them in their professional career in the field of music education.
The purpose of the seminar is to present the main functions of music education as well as to show ways in which music can be an important tool for achieving multiple goals in education. In these multiple goals lies the essence of ESG which seeks to help as many children as possible to meet the joy of creation with others, while cultivating their personality and social skills.
The seminar is led by the music educator and author Panagiotis Tsiridis, who is also the pedagogical advisor of El Sistema Greece.
