Kypseli Orchestra celebrates the 48th birthday of El Sistema
El Sistema was born in Venezuela 48 years ago and until today it has transformed numerous children’s lives through music education. El Sistema Greece is celebrating this anniversary with a concert by Kypseli Orchestra at the amphitheater of the 133 Elementary School of Athens on Saturday February 18 at 11.00.
This year we decided to celebrate this occasion with a concert prepared from the children of our nucleo orchestra for the children of a local school. The concert’s repertoire represents the childhood of most of the kids of El Sistema in Venezuela. Pieces like Ritmos Ciganos, Salsa Fest and Merengue have become milestones in their musicianship.
