Bessy Papadopoulou

Bessy Papadopoulou started playing the cello at  the age of 12  with N. Kontzia in Athens Conservatory. She continues with V. Fithertzi received the diploma in 2002 with N. Chatzigeorgiou in the Greek Conservatory with the grade of “excellent” unanimously. In Higher Theory she has a degree in Harmony and Counterpoint and has completed two one-year training programs in Music and Movement education and Music Therapy. She has been teaching cello since 2002 (Kalamata Municipal Conservatory, Kalamata Music High School, Music Horizons Conservatory, Vyronas Conservatory etc.).  She is a member of the orchestra “Enharmonia” and has participated in the orchestra of the GNO and the children’s opera. Also with the ERT orchestra as a musician and as an animator in school educational programs. She has collaborated with Mariza Koch in the performance “Rainbow” and for several years in Mariza’s experiential workshop of traditional music. She participated in the performance “Musicosmos” by Yolanda Markopoulou at the State Opera House having the musical and kinetic curation. She has been teaching Music and Movement Education since 2005 at the kindergartens “Iliachtida” and “Benakio Children’s”. She has been a cello teacher at El Sistema Greece since 2019.
