El Sistema Greece Youth Choir invites young members aged 17-35 years old to join our open and creative musical community! No previous musical experience is required! Here, everyone can participate and sing, in an environment full of creativity and collaboration.
El Sistema Greece offers free, high-quality music education to children and youth across Greece, fostering an inclusive community that celebrates diversity. El Sistema Greece Youth Choir, the largest choral ensemble of the organization, follows the pioneering teaching practices of El Sistema of Venezuela, combining musical excellence with values of cooperation, collegiality and social inclusion.
ESGYC offers an exciting and dynamic repertoire, ranging from classical composers such as Tallis, Bach, Mozart to contemporary works by Greek composers such as Antoniou, Koukos. Our choir performs in the biggest venues in Athens, participating in major concerts such as the Lullaby Project.
The El Sistema Greece Youth Choir is directed by Vagia Papagiannopoulou, who is also responsible for the coordination of the entire choral educational program. The rehearsals of the ESGYC take place every Saturday 12.30-14.30 in Kypseli.
