The El Sistema Greece Youth Choir is welcoming new members aged 18-35, offering young adults the opportunity to become part of an open and inclusive musical community. No previous musical experience is required.
With a focus on collaboration and creative expression, the choir fosters teamwork and listening skills through polyphonic singing, while also encouraging confidence and active participation among its members.
Its repertoire includes works from the classical choral tradition, by composers such as Tallis, Bach and Mozart, contemporary works by Greek composers such as Antoniou and Koukos, as well as traditional music from around the world.
The El Sistema Greece Youth Choir performs at major venues in Athens and takes part in concerts and artistic projects by El Sistema Greece, such as the Lullaby Project.
The choir is conducted by Vagia Papagiannopoulou, who also coordinates El Sistema Greece’s choral education programme.
Rehearsals take place every Saturday, from 12:30 to 14:30, in Kypseli.
Register by Tuesday, 27 October. To join or for more information, contact Lydia Margari at [email protected].
