The El Sistema Greece Academy is welcoming new members aged 15-26, offering young musicians a challenging musical experience designed to support their artistic and personal development.
Bringing together strings, winds and percussion, the Academy is structured so that each musician takes an active and responsible role within the ensemble. Through rehearsals and performances, members develop their technique, musical expression and autonomy, while also strengthening their teamwork and sense of responsibility.
The ensemble is open to musicians who play violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, piccolo, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, tuba, French horn or percussion. Its broad repertoire includes challenging works. The El Sistema Greece Academy performs both independently and in collaboration with acclaimed artists. The ensemble is conducted by Kyriaki Kountouri.
Rehearsals take place every Saturday, from 16:00 to 19:00, at Malliaras School (6 Erechtheiou Street, Alimos). Free transportation is provided to and from three locations in Attica: Penteli, Syntagma and Kypseli.
The El Sistema Greece Academy is open both to current El Sistema Greece members and to students or graduates of conservatories and university-level music programmes.
