At El Sistema Greece, we believe that music has the power to unite communities and promote social inclusion. That’s why we are proud of spreading music around Attica and Corinth, bringing our activities to different places. Our program includes music classes at the Controlled Temporary Reception Facilities of Asylum Seekers of Schisto and Corinth, at Dimitrio Day Center in Moschato in collaboration with the NGO Apostoli, at Unaccompanied Minors’ Shelters of IOM, at Alimos in collaboration with Malliaras School and in Corinth in collaboration with Fondation Kaloy.
In October 2018, we created our own place in the neighborhood of Kypseli, strategically chosen to achieve our goal of promoting social inclusion through music. Kypseli is a vibrant intercultural neighborhood with residents of different backgrounds, cultures and religions. Our students have more than 30 different nationalities, yet they are united by their love of music and their pride in participating together in the concerts we organize.
