Our partnership with Venezuela has been strong since the very beginning of El Sistema Greece and we are more than happy and excited each time we have a visitor from El Sistema as we are grounded in the same values and goals.
Within this framework, the director of international affairs of El Sistema, Ronnie Morales honored us with his presence in Greece attending our classes and rehearsals at El Sistema Greece for a whole week.
He visited our classes and orchestras’ rehearsals and shared his precious feedback with us, he worked with our students on their repertoire and shared his experience and knowledge with them that helped them improve their performance, and grow professionally. The administration team also had the opportunity to have a workshop with him on effective tools and practices in the sector of cultural management.
Since his very young age as a member of the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra, Ronnie Morales has participated in renowned international music festivals and various tours, in more than 25 countries around the world, under the leadership of international directors such as Gustavo Dudamel, Simon Rattle, Claudio Abbado, Christian Vásquez and Diego Matheuz, among others.
Apart from his long professional career, we also have some strong connection with Ronnie Morales as he supported us in building the academic program of El Sistema Greece and he was also the teacher of our very own artistic director and maestro Jose Angel Salazar Marin.
We were very happy for his presence as he is a great role model for our students and a living example of how many different doors music can open.
We are looking forward to the next time!
