Eleni Liora was born in Athens and holds a degree in viola from the Athens Conservatory (A. Manias class). She began her musical studies in violin at the age of 7 at the Municipal Conservatory of Elliniko. At the age of 13, and while a member of the ERT Youth Symphony Orchestra under the direction of N. Patrikidou, she turned to the viola. Alongside her musical interests, she studied Industrial Management at the University of Piraeus (1999-2003) and Logistics Engineering at ISEL (France, 2004-2006). She worked as an IT consultant in France (2007-2013), while participating as a violinist in the Coalescence Symphony Orchestra in Paris. In 2016, she completed a two-year music therapy course at the French school AFRATAPEM and worked as a music therapist in hospitals and specialised treatment centres in France and Greece. Since 2018 she has been teaching viola at El Sistema Greece and other educational institutions. She attended the “Continuous Chamber Music Seminar” taught by A. Liakakis and T. Gouvelis (Deree, 2018-2019), participated in music education seminars (El Sistema Greece, Musicians without Borders etc.) and was selected in the international music education training program AIM (Academy for Impact through Music, Hilti Foundation, 2020-2021). As a violinist she has performed in various cultural venues in Greece and abroad (Alternative Stage of the GNO, Athens Conservatory, Byzantine and Christian Museum, Ehrbarsaal, FIMU Belfort etc.). In 2023 she started preparing for a diploma in viola with A. Grammatikopoulos.
