The children of El Sistema Greece learn music every day, but who could teach them what it means to be an artist if not the artists themselves? We are grateful to have great people from the music world on our side!

Joyce DiDonato

The mezzo soprano Joyce DiDonato, one of the most famous voices in the world, is an ambassador of El Sistema Greece and supports the programme in every way. Together with the musicians of El Sistema Greece she participated in a series of concerts and educational workshops in Athens.

Il Pomo d’Oro orchestra

“We believe that Il Pomo d’Oro, a group of “musical immigrants” of different nationalities, is the ideal ambassador for El Sistema and we consider it our moral obligation to help with what we know best: music. We collaborate with El Sistema Greece as a group by giving concerts and participating in music workshops, but also individually, providing consultancy and teaching.”
The members of Il Pomo d’Oro Orchestra have been ambassadors of El Sistema Greece since the beginning of the project in the fall of 2016. In July 2018, the orchestra visited Skaramangas Refugee Camp, participated in masterclasses and delivered music lessons to the students.
