The El Sistema Greece Youth Orchestra is excited to welcome new members!
The El Sistema Greece Youth Orchestra is an intercultural music ensemble open to musicians aged 10-26 who play violin, viola, cello, double bass, bassoon, clarinet, oboe, tuba, saxophone, French horn, or percussion. El Sistema Greece’s music ensembles offer a unique process of group music learning, based on the principles and innovative teaching practices of El Sistema Venezuela. The orchestra’s conductor is Kyriaki Kountouri. The orchestra’s repertoire ranges from classical symphonic music (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johannes Brahms, Dmitri Shostakovich, Jean Sibelius, Edvard Grieg, Antonin Dvorak), film music (Klaus Badelt, Frederick Loewe, Andrew Lloyd Webber) and orchestral music by composers from Latin America (Arturo Marquez, Perez Prado, Carlos Garcia).

El Sistema Greece is an educational music program for social inclusion that offers high quality free music education to children and young people in Greece. community music program that provides free access to high quality music education to children and young people in Greece. It aims at building an inclusive music community that celebrates diversity and empowers students by developing their music skills and stimulating their independent thinking and agency. Our activities are open to all children and are provided in groups for free.
