Are you an experienced music professional passionate about supporting the next generation of musicians?
MusicACT is a European cooperation project co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme, bringing together partners from El Sistema Greece, Sistema Cyprus, Trillargento APS, Reina Sofía School of Music to support young musicians build sustainable careers in today’s music industry.
We are looking for mentors from across the music sector (performers, composers, producers, artistic directors, educators, managers, and other music professionals) who are willing to share their experience, open doors to the professional world, and support emerging artists as they take their next career steps.
About the Mentorship
The mentorship programme will run from October 2026 to September 2027. The first phase focuses on mentor onboarding, preparation, and matching, while direct mentorship and artistic collaboration with participants will take place from January 2027 onwards.
The mentorship combines career guidance, artistic collaboration, and professional exposure. Rather than focusing only on advice, mentors are encouraged to help participants gain real-world experience through their professional networks and artistic activities.
Mentors will support participants in areas such as:
Career development and creative entrepreneurship
Building sustainable professional pathways in music
Income generation and professional opportunities
Digital presence, self-promotion, and audience engagement
Sustainable and environmentally conscious artistic practices
What We Ask From Mentors
Mentors are expected to:
Provide guidance and support to three young musicians
Share insights from their professional experience
Involve participants, where possible, in rehearsals, performances, creative processes, or other professional activities
Support at least one public artistic outcome or showcase opportunity during the mentorship period
Contribute to a simple evaluation process and follow project safeguarding procedures
What We Offer
MusicACT values the time, knowledge, and commitment of its mentors. Mentors will receive a fee of €1,000 (including all applicable taxes and statutory withholdings) for their participation in the programme. In addition, a budget of €300 per mentee is available to support participation in artistic activities and production-related costs connected to the mentorship process.
